In early 2018 the US Treasury Department released a list of senior political figures and oligarchs in the Russian Federation. The list contained some of the world’s richest Russian businessmen and is known as the ‘Putin’ list. It is always fascinating to read about people who have achieved great wealth, what their net worth is, and how they made it. This is the top 10:

Business ventures: Abramovich owns some of the largest and most expensive yachts in the world. He also owns majority shares in Chelsea Football Club, Evraz, a major steel company and the metals company Norilsk Nickel. As of May 2018 Abramovich was finalizing paperwork to obtain citizenship in Israel on account of his Jewish heritage.
