Ernest Rudyak

Ernest Rudyak (Эрнест Рудяк) is a Russian/American entrepreneur and property magnate with an estimated wealth of 600 mln dollars. Rudyak is the President of Engeocom, his family business and a top real estate and construction companies in Russia. He is responsible for the real estate management and development arm of the company. He is also the primary shareholder of the construction division of Engeocom and holds the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Early Life, Education, and Business

Ernest Rudyak was born in Moscow, Russia in January 1987 into a family that owned a group of companies under the Engeocom brand. He spent most of his childhood in the United States in Massachusetts where he was raised, and California where he completed his studies in 2009 graduating from the University of Southern California with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.

Engeocom

Now known as one of the foremost real estate development and construction firms in Russia, Engeocom was started by Ernest Rudyak’s father Mikhail Rudyak in 1989. When Rudyak senior passed away in 2007 his two sons took over company operations with Ernest Rudyak taking over the real estate management and development division. In 2012 he was appointed as President of all the company’s business interests throughout the Russian Federation. Over a period of more than two decades, Engeocom has been responsible for over 200 major construction projects in Russia and across the world. Projects include tunnels, shopping centres, stadiums, metro systems, hotels, airports and residential projects. Engeocom also owns a large production facility that produces metro tubing and a large concrete factory.

Notable Projects

One of the company’s most celebrated construction projects is the redevelopment of the Moscow River canal. Engeocom was also tasked with demolishing Hotel Intourist and constructing the Ritz Carlson Hotel, Moscow, and the demolition and reconstruction of Hotel Moscow. Other major projects include building several stations and lines as part of the Moscow Metro System and constructing the Central Olympic Stadium and Iceberg, the ice skating building used in the Winter Olympics that took place in Sochi in 2014. Engeocom’s real estate profile holds several offices and residential buildings including the award-winning Atrium Mall in Moscow.

Ernest Rudyak Today

Residing in Moscow, Russia, Ernest Rudyak actively manages the daily operations of Engeocom along with the management teams of its various companies. The company continues to develop new projects in the Moscow region. As in mid-2018, Engeocom was busy with a large-scale urban development project on a 34-hectare piece of land located in Khimki. The project consists of nine residential buildings hosting several apartments, 146 townhouses, over 70 cottages and a shopping centre. It also has education facilities, including a school that can accommodate up to 350 students and a day care centre that can take 150 children. Rudyak’s investment interests are not limited to Russia, he actively invests in various companies in the United States and is interested in branching out to include partnership investments targeting Europe and BRICS countries.

Outside of his numerous business interests in real estate, Ernest Rudyak became involved with the honey industry by co-founding Medoveda, a honey trading company.
