Hollywood movie star Lindsay Lohan is making a splash in the media for something other than her drug and drinking problems for a change… It seems the wayward actress has found something to stay sober for: love. According to several stories published by glossy Russian magazines in early March 2016, the actress has a new boyfriend, Egor Tarabasov, the son of Dmitry Tarabasov, a high-profile Russian oligarch. Lohan’s new love is not only culturally different from her – there is also quite an age gap. The young lady is 29 years old while the younger man is only 22.
Who is Tarabasov?
One would wonder how Lindsay Lohan meets a young wealthy Russian. The couple first crossed paths in London in October 2015 where he resides. Although he was born in Moscow, Tarabasov was granted British citizenship at a young age and settled in the UK where he completed his studies at Cass Business School. His father resides in Moscow where he runs several companies in the rail freight and building material industries. Despite being only 22 Tarabasov owns a successful real estate firm in London named Home House Estates and also has shares in Russia’s Ivy Bank.
Sometimes love pays the bills, and feeds empty bellies
The Russian version of Hello! Magazine reported on more than just a blossoming new love. According to the tabloid Tarabasov is also taking care of all Lohan’s substantial financial commitments. After continuing problems with drug and alcohol dependency the actress was forced into bankruptcy and could not even pay her own rent. Dni.ru reported that the young Russian pays all Lohan’s bills and takes her travelling regularly. What’s more, it doesn’t seem to be a temporary tête-à-tête, Lohan has even taken Tarabasov to be introduced to her parents over Christmas and Tarabasov has introduced Lohan to banya and pelmeni, which is traditional Russian food that consists of something like a meat dumpling.
